A growing and highly respected Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy is looking to appoint a Project Civil Engineer to join its expanding team. The Consultancy has established an excellent reputation for delivering innovative and practical engineering solutions across a diverse range of residential, commercial, industrial, healthcare, education and mixed-use developments.

Working closely with developers, architects, contractors and public sector organisations, the business provides a full Civil Engineering service from initial site appraisal and feasibility through planning, detailed design and construction support.

As a Project Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of development infrastructure projects, working alongside Senior Engineers, Associates and Directors on schemes ranging from small bespoke developments through to large multi-phase projects. You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, taking responsibility for the production and coordination of highways, drainage and infrastructure designs whilst ensuring projects are delivered to programme, budget and the highest technical standards.

The role will involve the design of adoptable and private drainage systems, Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS), highways, access roads, earthworks strategies, site levels and external works. You will prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, drawings and specifications, whilst liaising with local authorities, water companies, Lead Local Flood Authorities and other stakeholders to secure the necessary technical approvals.

Working within a collaborative environment, you will have the opportunity to develop strong client relationships, attend project meetings and contribute to design reviews, helping to identify practical, sustainable and commercially effective solutions. You will also support the delivery of Flood Risk Assessments, drainage strategies and infrastructure reports to support planning applications and detailed design submissions.

You will be degree qualified in Civil Engineering and have experience working within a Consultancy environment delivering infrastructure and drainage designs for development projects. A strong understanding of highways and drainage design principles is required, together with experience using Civil 3D and either MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage. Knowledge of Section 38, Section 278 and other development-related approval processes would be advantageous.

This position would suit an ambitious Civil Engineer with approximately three to six years' experience who is looking to take the next step in their career within a Consultancy that offers genuine responsibility, exposure to a varied workload and a clear route towards Senior Civil Engineer level. Support towards ICE Chartership and ongoing professional development will be provided.

In return, you will join a Consultancy that places genuine value on technical excellence, collaboration and professional development. Alongside a varied and technically interesting workload, you will benefit from working closely with experienced engineers on a wide range of projects, with clear opportunities to progress your career as the business continues to grow.
