The Opportunity
As an Intermediate Electrical Engineer, you'll join a well-established team of engineers and contribute to the delivery of high-quality building services design work. You'll gain exposure across all stages of project delivery and be supported by senior staff while taking on growing responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and delivery of electrical building services systems across various project types
- Prepare drawings, schematics, calculations, and specifications under the guidance of senior engineers
- Contribute to sustainable, energy-efficient design outcomes in line with UK legislation and best practices
- Attend project meetings and liaise with other design disciplines and external stakeholders
- Work across all RIBA stages, with particular involvement in detailed design and coordination
- Take ownership of tasks, while continuously developing your technical and professional skills
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Qualifications: HNC, degree, or equivalent in Building Services or Electrical Engineering
- Experience: 2-5 years in building services consultancy, ideally with exposure to residential, education, or public-sector projects
- Software: Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech, and Dialux/Relux
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, clear communicator, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
