An independent, conservation and heritage-building specialist Structural Engineering Consultancy based near Penrith in Cumbria are actively recruiting for a Graduate Structural Engineer to join the team.
The company are a single-office consultancy and one of the most respected and recognised designers of conservation work in the UK. They are home to 2 CARE (Conservation Accreditation Register for Engineers) Engineers and they are looking for someone passionate about conservation and like-minded to join the team.
The ideal Graduate Structural Engineer candidate will have:
- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or an Engineering-related field
- Experience using AutoCAD
- Someone with Chartership or aspirations for Chartership with either the ICE or IStructE
- A clean UK drivers' license for site and client visits
- Live locally to Penrith or be based in the Cumbria region
The company have office space near Penrith and you will be expected to attend the office a minimum of 3 days per week but there is some flexibility for hybrid-working and also for visiting sites and clients. They also have a very low turnover of staff and most of the Engineers remain at the company for vast periods of their career.
Ideal salary bracket for this role is £23, - £26, as a basic salary for a completely fresh graduate with no consultancy experience but this is of course flexible for the right candidate depending on specific experience. All experience as a Structural Engineer will be considered but experience in the Heritage sector will be viewed very favourably.
