About the Role
Join a rapidly growing sustainability-led consultancy under a wider sustainability group. As a Graduate Consultant, you'll work within a highly collaborative Energy & Carbon team, supporting a diverse client base including names like NEXT Distribution, Siemens, and CBRE. You'll gain hands-on exposure from day one, shadowing client meetings and learning how conversations translate into tangible, billable projects. Also, on day one, you'll be placed on an EPC accredited course to give you a solid understanding of how energy is kept and lost within buildings.
This is a brilliant opportunity for a recent graduate (MSc or Degree level) looking to launch a career in sustainable consultancy and low carbon design. You'll be working in an established and growing team of 4 Energy assessors.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in delivering energy assessments across commercial and residential buildings.
- Produce and support in the creation of Commercial Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs).
- Contribute to building modelling for Net Zero Carbon reporting.
- Support in residential carbon modelling and SAP calculations.
- Contribute to BREEAM assessments and project tenders.
- Assist in preparing feasibility reports for renewable energy installations.
- Help prepare sustainability and energy statements.
- Help manage project admin and contribute to financial tracking.
- Support internal teams (QS, PMs, Surveyors) with sustainability advice across construction and retrofit projects.
- Engage with an internal project tracking system for seamless task and timeline coordination.
What We're Looking For
- A degree or MSc in a relevant subject (e.g., Environmental Science, Building Services Engineering, Sustainability, Energy).
- A passion for low carbon design and sustainable buildings.
- Eagerness to learn tools like IES-VE, DesignBuilder, and OneClickLCA.
- A confident communicator and proactive team player.
- Client-facing confidence or ambition to grow into that skillset.
- Full right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
