An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join a leading compliance and safety service provider, supporting electrical inspection and testing operations across housing association and local authority properties in the Peterborough area.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of electrical testing and inspection, experience overseeing engineers, and a solid understanding of compliance, quality assurance, and regulatory standards within domestic environments. You will play a key role in maintaining and improving the quality, consistency, and professionalism of electrical services, ensuring all works meet the highest technical and administrative standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Play a key role in improving the quality and professionalism of electrical services by implementing and maintaining systems that support the highest technical and administrative standards within the Electrical Division.
- Ensure company systems and day-to-day working practices comply with legislative, regulatory, and accreditation body requirements.
- Support and review electrical testing, inspection, and certification processes to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Review monitoring reports and technical inspections of field-based engineers carried out by other technical management staff.
- Deliver post-audit inspections and certifications on completed works to ensure they meet required industry standards.
- Ensure the ongoing accuracy, calibration, and usability of electrical test equipment.
- Assist with complex technical queries from engineers and clients, alongside the Head of Electrical, where issues cannot be resolved by other technical management staff.
- Promote and maintain high standards of Health & Safety across all electrical activities.
- Support operational teams to maintain consistent quality and compliance across the region.
Qualifications & Experience
- NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds 2360/2330 (or equivalent).
- City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations).
- Inspection & Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent).
- Strong working knowledge of BS 7671 and Electricity at Work Regulations.
- Proven experience within a domestic electrical environment.
- Previous experience supporting, auditing, or supervising electrical engineers.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
- Competent IT skills.
Salary & Package
- Salary: Β£40,000 - Β£50,000 per annum (depending on experience).
