This is an excellent opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer, with a passion for delivering innovative solutions across a variety of sectors, to join a dynamic and growing geotechnical team within a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy. Due to increased project demand, particularly in regulated and complex environments, this team is looking for a Geotechnical Engineer / Engineering Geologist to support their growing portfolio across rail, power, highways, defence, aviation, public sector, and life sciences projects. With a reputation for delivering tailored, sustainable geotechnical solutions, this team values collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence. About the Role: As a Geotechnical Engineer / Engineering Geologist, you\’ll work closely with structural and civil engineering teams, providing geotechnical expertise and delivering design packages. Your responsibilities will include: Producing geotechnical design and specification packages for various civil and structural engineering projects. Writing and reviewing desk studies, risk assessments, and geotechnical design reports. Managing and delivering designs for foundations, slopes, retaining walls, piling, and earthworks. Reviewing subcontractor reports to ensure technical compliance with design requirements. Contributing to projects from concept through to completion across a range of sectors. Supporting and guiding junior team members while representing the company in client meetings.About You: To excel in this role, you should have: A degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology (or equivalent), ideally with a relevant MSc. Progress toward chartered status (e.g., ICE, GeolSoc, IMMM) or a desire to achieve it. Experience in a consultancy environment, including geotechnical design and reporting. Familiarity with Eurocode 7, design standards, and current health and safety regulations.
