As an Electrical Project / Contracts Manager, you will take ownership of electrical and building services projects across a national portfolio of commercial sites, predominantly within supermarket and retail environments. Working closely with FM teams, site management and engineers, you will oversee a range of works including electrical upgrades, plant replacements, compliance works and lifecycle projects, all within live operational environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing electrical and building services projects from initial planning through to completion
- Delivering works within live retail and commercial environments while ensuring minimal disruption to operations
- Overseeing electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, control systems, BMS interfaces and associated building services
- Coordinating subcontractors, electrical engineers and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget
- Managing and supporting engineers on site, ensuring high standards of workmanship and performance
- Acting as the key point of contact for client FM teams, site managers and internal stakeholders
- Producing and maintaining project programmes, cost trackers and progress reports
- Managing project variations and ensuring additional works are captured, costed and approved
- Ensuring materials, plant and labour resources are effectively planned and available
- Overseeing commissioning, testing and handover documentation, including certification
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety
