An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Improver to join one of the country's leading HVAC Contractors. This will be a mobile role (driving license required) covering Kingston Upon Thames and the surrounding region in South West London and areas outside the M25.

The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background and hold electrical qualifications such as 18th edition and C&G qualifications in electrical installation. Testing and inspection qualifications would also be highly beneficial.

This role will involve carrying out various tests, inspections and general maintenance works in commercial premises. Beneficial experience includes prior work on: fire alarms, lighting, emergency lighting, PAT testing, door access systems. Training will be provided.

Duties:

  • Support other technicians with any major or minor maintenance work.
  • Complete all necessary PPM's and reactive maintenance schedules within agreed timescales and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and as required.
  • Prioritising and completing minor maintenance and repair work to agreed timescales.
  • Ensuring all tools and equipment necessary to complete minor maintenance and repairs are always available and serviceable.
  • Although aligned to an area for the purpose of PPM completion, there may be times that the Technician will be required to attend other sites within the cluster to carry out work.
  • Work with company and client colleagues to ensure laid-down standards of quality are always maintained.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times and develop a good working relationship with client and colleagues.
  • Carry out all tasks in accordance with specific KPI's.
  • Monitor and update the Mercury system accurately ensuring live job updates from you and your team at all times.

Qualifications:

  • NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in electrical installations / parts 1 & 2 or recognised apprenticeship equivalent
  • 18th Edition

Salary / Package:

  • Basic Salary - Dependant on experience £24,000 to £30,000, Mon-Fri 40hrs on site
  • Paid Travel Time door to door
  • OT Rates
  • No call out (1 in 6/7 weeks when fully qualified)
  • 23 days holiday (rising to 26 with length of service) plus 8 bank holidays
  • Company vehicle with fuel card - can opt into private use
