A growing and well-respected building services consultancy in Manchester is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join its engineering team. You will work closely with the company's two directors and experienced senior staff, gaining exposure to high-end, design-led projects in a niche space where work is abundant.
Working on legacy projects or being asked to do variations that go above and beyond your normal working week is a tiring necessity for many. Here, briefs are extremely detailed before the design process begins, and all variations are additions that form part of a regular working week.
You'll be based in a newly refurbished Manchester city centre office - a smart, collaborative space shared with other teams in the business, totalling around 20 people in total.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Support the delivery of electrical building services design projects across sectors, particularly prime and super-prime residential (and occasionally hotels).
- Collaborate closely with architects and developers on the highest of high-end projects, featuring immaculate finishes and cutting-edge technology.
- Attend client and site meetings, representing the business in a confident and professional manner.
- As most of the work is London-based, you may need to attend site once a week/fortnight for project meetings - no overnight stays.
About You:
- You're a self-sufficient electrical engineer with consultancy experience and a track record of supporting or delivering design projects.
- Comfortable in a client-facing role and interested in high-end residential work.
- Keen to continue developing your technical skills and progress towards a senior role.
- You may be working towards chartership or open to starting the process.
Interview Process: One-stage interview, followed by a meet-and-greet.
