An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Refrigeration Engineer to join the engineering team of one of the UK's leading retail businesses, covering Enfield and the surrounding areas. Working directly for the business rather than a contractor, you will become part of a highly skilled engineering team responsible for maintaining refrigeration equipment across a portfolio of retail sites.

The Role

You will be responsible for the service, maintenance, fault finding and repair of a wide range of retail refrigeration equipment across multiple sites throughout the Enfield and North London region. The successful engineer will carry out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdowns, ensuring refrigeration systems are operating safely and efficiently while delivering a high standard of customer service. This is a mobile role, therefore a full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain and repair retail refrigeration equipment.
  • Diagnose and rectify refrigeration and electrical faults.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
  • Attend reactive breakdowns and complete repairs efficiently.
  • Complete service reports and associated documentation.
  • Participate in the callout rota (1 in 5).

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Commercial Refrigeration Engineer, Refrigeration Engineer or Field Service Engineer.
  • Current F-Gas Certification.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Package

  • Basic salary up to £48,000
