A respected and forward-thinking Civil & Structural Engineering Consultancy is seeking a talented Civil Engineer to join its growing infrastructure design team in Harrogate. The practice provides a comprehensive range of services including highways and drainage design, earthworks modelling, flood risk assessment and external works design across residential, commercial and mixed-use developments. This position is ideal for a Civil Engineer who enjoys hands-on design work and wants to contribute to a variety of development and infrastructure projects within a collaborative and technically skilled team. You will be responsible for producing and reviewing detailed infrastructure designs for roads, drainage, earthworks and hard-standings, ensuring compliance with design standards and best practice, while liaising closely with multi-disciplinary teams, local authorities and clients throughout each project stage Applicants must be fully proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D for 3D infrastructure modelling and design, with strong experience in one of the following drainage and flow analysis packages: MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage or Causeway Flow. Experience preparing S38, S104 and S278 designs would be advantageous, as would a solid understanding of drainage networks, surface water management and sustainable drainage systems (SuDS). Candidates should hold a degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline and have experience working within a Consultancy environment. Those working toward chartered status (ICE or IStructE) are particularly encouraged to apply. Strong communication, problem-solving and organisational skills are essential, alongside a proactive attitude and a commitment to delivering technically excellent solutions.
