Bring your skills to the mix as a Chief Civil Maritime Engineer, you'll play a vital role in every aspect of maritime engineering on Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure with opportunities to work on iconic engineering projects at home and abroad.

Our client specialises in all aspects of Maritime Engineering, within multiple challenging and engaging sectors such as Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy and Cities & Development. They continue to provide industry-leading maritime solutions right through the project lifecycle, with value added through client-side support as well as construction phases.

You will own and direct teams who undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels. As well as defining briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals, you will successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes. You will work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions, setting quality assurance standards in design and grow, develop and manage civil engineering capability within the practice.

As a Chartered or near Chartered Engineer, you will have experience in owning design delivery, including multidisciplinary design within the port and maritime environment. You will need a comprehensive knowledge in the civil and structural design of port and maritime infrastructure supporting port operations, the berthing and mooring of vessels and the transit of people and goods around the globe and a working experience with current UK and European design standards including BS.

They support flexible working arrangements and are interested to discuss how we can accommodate individual requirements, where there is no fixed 9 'till 5, no need for a 5-day week, no requirement for a full-time contract, and no requirement to spend all your working time in the office.

They offer a competitive salary that is regularly tested against other consultants with a default 25-days leave each year plus bank holidays and options to buy some or sell of that leave. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
