Position Overview
I am looking for a Graduate Geo-Environmental Engineer situated within the Birmingham area that has a real love for geology & contaminated land wanting to get stuck into a wide range of complex Geo-Environmental and Geotechnical Engineering projects. You will have the chance to work for an award-winning SME multi-disciplinary consultancy, getting thrown in the deep end on small to large scale projects.
Key Responsibilities
- As a Graduate Geo-Environmental Engineer, you will be getting exposure to all aspects of onsite management / site supervision, technical reporting (contaminated land, remediation & geotechnics), client liaison and project management albeit with a full support network.
- You will gain exposure within all aspects of contaminated land and remediation projects delivery.
- The key areas of development will surround Phase 1, design & management of phase 2 site investigations and delivery of all technical reporting including factual, interpretive, remedial, risk assessments and validations.
- You will also gain Geotechnical experience on site as well as reporting.
Essential Requirements
- A good class honours degree in geology/engineering geology/geotechnics/geo-environmental engineering or related geo-science.
- Relevant work experience would also be advantageous although not essential.
- The ability to work both within a team and as a responsible individual.
- Have a full UK driving licence.
To proceed as a Graduate Geo-Environmental Engineer, it will be expected that you live in commutable distance from Manchester, have access to a vehicle.
