An established building services design consultancy is seeking an experienced AutoCAD Technician to join its Manchester office. Known for delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical (M&E) building services design, the business works on a variety of engineering projects in commercial offices, healthcare, education, retail, and high-tech sectors.
This is a great opportunity for a CAD Technician or M&E CAD Operator looking to work on challenging and varied projects, from straightforward retail schemes to complex data centres and healthcare facilities.
The Role
- Produce high-quality 2D AutoCAD M&E drawings for a wide range of building services projects.
- Work on commercial offices, healthcare, education, retail, and data centres.
- Coordinate mechanical CAD and electrical CAD layouts for smooth integration.
- Interpret engineer\’s sketches and specifications into accurate technical drawings.
- Ensuring all work is compliant, coordinated, and completed to the highest standards whilst maintaining CAD drawing standards, templates, and file management systems.
- Collaborate with design teams to ensure project deadlines are met.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as an AutoCAD Technician or CAD Technician within M&E building services design.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical building services and/or electrical building services systems.
- Ability to work from concept through to construction stage documentation.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a collaborative design team.
