Air Conditioning / Refrigeration Engineer (Team Lead) Location: Inside M25 About Us A dynamic and growing mechanical & electrical services company, known for delivering high-quality solutions across commercial, industrial, and educational environments are looking to expand their division. They\’re looking for an experienced AC/Refrigeration Engineer to join and take the lead in developing and managing this key division. The Opportunity This is a hands-on and leadership role where you\’ll be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems-including splits, VRV/VRF systems, ventilation, heat pumps, cold rooms, and associated controls. You\’ll work closely with clients and site teams, ensuring all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards, while also taking a proactive role in mentoring and leading others within the team. Key Responsibilities Perform PPM and reactive maintenance across a variety of HVAC and refrigeration systems Fault finding, diagnostics, and repair work Install and commission A/C and refrigeration systems Complete service records, risk assessments, and compliance documentation accurately Maintain strong client relationships and uphold high levels of customer service Ensure adherence to health & safety and company protocols Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota (paid) Lead and support team members within the division What We\’re Looking For Essential: Minimum 5 years\’ experience in commercial HVAC/Refrigeration (or equivalent competency) F-Gas Category 1 certified NVQ Level 2/3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (or equivalent) Strong electrical diagnostics and control systems knowledge Full UK driving licence (for company van use) Proven team leadership or supervisory experience Eligible to work in the UK Willingness to travel and work across various sites (reasonable adjustments considered) Desirable: Gas Safe certification CSCS card IPAF / PASMA certification Experience working on education sites and larger commercial estates Why Join Us?
