A well-established, privately owned Engineering Consultancy with over 50 years in the industry is looking to bring in a Graduate Civil / Structural Engineer to join their Sheffield office. With a strong reputation built on long-standing client relationships and repeat business, they've created a really stable platform for someone at the start of their career to develop properly. This is a brilliant opportunity for either a fresh graduate with strong academics and some placement experience, or someone with up to a couple of years' experience looking to build on their foundations within a supportive and hands‑on environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • You’ll be joining a multi-disciplinary team working across civil, structural, geotechnical and environmental engineering, giving you exposure to a wide range of projects from day one.
  • On the structural side, you’ll get involved in the design of steel, concrete and traditional structures, supporting with calculations and technical drawings using industry software.
  • On the civil side, the focus is largely residential infrastructure, including drainage design, highways, levels and external works.
  • The role will see you working closely with more senior Engineers across disciplines, helping to deliver projects from early concept through to detailed design.
  • You’ll be using software such as AutoCAD, PDS and MicroDrainage/Windes, while also developing your understanding of adoptable standards including S38, S278 and S104.
