Overview
Representing a leading facilities management client, Calibre Search is looking to strengthen their engineering team in the Midlands Region with a field‑based PPM Engineer to carry out pre‑planned maintenance across a portfolio of retail sites. This role is ideally suited to engineers with a background in refrigeration, air conditioning, or general HVAC – full training is offered for candidates with transferable skills from electrical or mechanical disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Deliver planned and reactive maintenance on commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
- Work on a variety of systems, including central plant, integral systems, leak detection units, and alarm panels.
- Operate independently across the region, with support from a wider team.
- Maintain accurate service records and adhere to all health & safety regulations.
- Represent the client in a professional manner on customer sites.

Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience in refrigeration, air conditioning, or similar building services (HVAC/Electrical/Mechanical).
- F‑Gas certified (or willing to work towards this – training provided).
- Comfortable working on central plant systems – experience with RDM alarms or CO? systems advantageous.
- Flexible, self‑motivated and holds a full UK driving licence.
- Previous experience in retail or supermarket environments is a plus.
