A well-established and highly respected civil engineering contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager following the award of several major new projects across the North West Region. Operating within infrastructure, bulk earthworks, remediation and heavy civil engineering, the business has built a strong reputation for delivering technically challenging schemes safely, collaboratively and to a high standard. This is an opportunity to join a contractor with a strong pipeline of work in the region.
The Role
The successful candidate will take full operational responsibility for the delivery of major infrastructure and civil engineering projects, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and within budget. You'll lead site teams, manage client relationships and work closely with commercial and operational teams to drive project performance from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing day‑to‑day project delivery across complex civil engineering schemes
- Leading site teams to ensure safe, efficient and high‑quality operations
- Maintaining programme performance and driving productivity on site
- Working closely with commercial teams to manage cost control and project risk
- Acting as the key point of contact for clients, subcontractors and stakeholders
- Ensuring all works are delivered in line with HSEQ standards and company procedures
- Supporting planning, coordination and operational decision‑making throughout the project lifecycle
About You
- Proven experience delivering earthworks, highways or major infrastructure projects.
- Experience of managing multiple site teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- SMSTS, CSCS Black Card and First Aid qualified.
- Full UK driving licence.
