An established and growing Building Services consultancy is looking to appoint an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join its Manchester team due to continued project growth across several exciting sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer looking to step into a more technically challenging role within a consultancy delivering high‑profile MEP and Mission Critical projects across the UK.

You’ll gain exposure to technically challenging projects ranging from local developments through to nationally recognised schemes, with a strong focus on sustainability, low carbon design, and modern BIM‑led project delivery. Revit is heavily utilised across the business and forms a key part of project coordination and design delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Mechanical Building Services design across all project stages
  • Supporting the delivery of projects within multidisciplinary teams
  • Producing technical calculations, specifications, and reports
  • Developing Revit and BIM coordination capabilities
  • Supporting senior engineers on major project delivery
  • Attending client and design team meetings
Requirements
  • Experience within Building Services / MEP consultancy
  • Mechanical Building Services design experience
  • Revit experience highly desirable
  • Exposure to projects across RIBA Stages 1‑5
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Desire to continue developing technically within a collaborative consultancy environment
Salary & Benefits
  • Salary £35,000 - £42,000 depending on experience
  • Hybrid working – 3 days office / 2 days home (flexible)
