We're working with a well-established, multi-disciplinary construction consultancy to appoint a Chartered Building Surveyor to support their growing fire safety and cladding remediation team. With a strong reputation in their specialist areas, this consultancy delivers projects from design through to delivery, and ongoing asset management. They work in a variety of sectors, including commercial & retail, heritage, education, healthcare, residential and public sector.

The Role

You’ll join a collaborative Manchester based team of building surveyors, fire engineers, and project managers, delivering a range of cladding and fire remediation projects across mainly the North West region. Currently, around 60% of workload is focused on fire safety and cladding, offering excellent exposure in a high demand and specialist area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering cladding remediation and fire safety projects
  • Conducting building surveys and defect analysis
  • Supporting or leading on external wall system assessments
  • Advising clients on compliance, risk, and remediation strategies
  • Working across sectors including residential, education, healthcare, and public sector

About You

  • Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS or MCIOB)
  • Proven background in fire safety and/or cladding remediation
  • Experience with EWS1 (External Wall System forms) or working towards competency

The Package

  • Salary circa £60,000 - £70,000
  • £5,000 car allowance
  • Additional uplift for EWS1 capability
  • Hybrid working (typically 3 days office / 2 days home)
