An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join a leading Facilities Management company, working on a static distribution site in Cumbernauld. This is a permanent, full-time role working Monday to Friday, 10am – 6pm, with a salary of £38,394.17 per annum. A driving licence will be required for use of the pool van whilst on standby.
Responsibilities
- Complete all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules within agreed timescales, ensuring accurate completion of all documentation.
- Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests, diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs.
- Carry out maintenance and testing of fire alarm systems and emergency lighting.
- Prioritise workloads to meet response times and operational requirements.
- Identify and report non‑repairable faults, providing recommendations for replacement where necessary.
- Ensure all compliance and safety documentation is kept up to date.
- Carry out minor installations and alterations within technical competence.
- Conduct site surveys and produce detailed reports when required.
- Complete general building maintenance tasks across designated sites.
- Follow company purchasing procedures and accurately log material usage.
- Liaise with on‑site management regarding maintenance issues that may impact operations.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and clients to maintain high standards of service delivery.
- Participate in a 24/7 call‑out rota.
- Attend training as required to maintain and develop technical skills.
- Adhere to all Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times.
Qualifications & Experience
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds 2360 (Part 1 & 2) or equivalent in Electrical Installation/Maintenance.
- City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition).
- AM2 and/or 2391 Testing & Inspection (desirable).
- Strong knowledge of 3‑phase electrics and associated systems.
- Proven ability to maintain and repair a range of electrical and mechanical equipment (e.g. commercial catering equipment).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently.
