A well‑established specialist hire company is looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer / Chiller and Boiler Specialist Engineer to support projects across Manchester and the surrounding areas. The business delivers temporary heating, cooling, and hot water solutions to commercial, industrial, and public‑sector clients across the UK. With continued growth and increasing project demand, they are looking to strengthen their engineering team with an experienced engineer based in the Manchester region.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation, commissioning, maintenance and servicing of temporary boiler and chiller systems across a variety of commercial sites
- Servicing and maintaining mechanical plant and equipment
- Fault‑finding on chilled‑water systems, AHUs and burner equipment
- Carrying out pipework adjustments within existing plant rooms
- Travelling to customer sites across Manchester and nearby areas
- Supporting junior engineers and sharing technical knowledge
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with safety and compliance procedures
Key Requirements
- Strong background working with commercial mechanical systems
- Experience with LTHW heating systems and chilled‑water systems
- Knowledge of gas and oil‑fired boiler systems
- Experience working with control wiring and electrical services
- Experience working on air‑cooled chillers and AHU equipment
- Commercial Gas Safe certification
- F Gas refrigeration certification
- Full UK driving licence
- Flexibility to support call‑out and emergency work when required
- Willingness to complete DBS checks for certain client locations
