An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join our client, a well-established and growing Building Services provider. This is a mobile role covering multiple commercial sites, offering long-term stability and excellent earning potential.
Location: Mobile covering London and the Home Counties.
You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a variety of commercial premises, ensuring all gas and mechanical systems remain fully operational and compliant. Travel between sites is incorporated into the working day.
Responsibilities- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works on commercial boilers, heating systems, pumps, valves and associated plant.
- Servicing commercial gas plant and plant room equipment.
- Fault finding, isolation and rectification of gas and mechanical issues.
- Testing, purging and commissioning in line with Gas Safe regulations.
- Attending breakdowns, repairs and emergency callouts.
- Supporting minor installation works, upgrades and refurbishments when required.
- Maintaining accurate service reports and gas safety documentation.
- Ensuring the highest health & safety standards are always adopted.
- Providing professional updates and technical advice to clients on site.
- Valid Commercial Gas qualifications including COCN1, CODNCO1, CIGA1, CORT1, ICPN1, TPCP1A (or equivalent).
- Commercial Catering Gas qualifications (CODC1, COMCAT1, COMCAT2, COMCAT3, COMCAT) desirable.
- Domestic Gas qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1) desirable.
- Proven experience servicing and maintaining commercial boilers and heating systems.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider maintenance team.
- Good communication and IT skills for job reporting systems.
The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm (40-hour week), with participation in an agreed out-of-hours call-out rota. Flexibility is required to ensure essential services remain operational.
Package on Offer- £45,000 - £60,000 basic salary (dependent on experience).
