We are seeking a motivated and commercially driven Sales Specialist – Protein Sciences to join our growing UK sales team. This field-based role is responsible for developing and managing customer relationships across academia, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and industrial research markets. You will drive growth across our Protein Sciences portfolio by identifying new business opportunities, expanding existing accounts, and supporting researchers working in protein expression, purification, structural biology, crystallography, Cryo-EM, and molecular biology applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow relationships with academic, biotech, pharmaceutical, and industrial research customers
- Manage and expand existing accounts while identifying and converting new business opportunities
- Promote leading Protein Sciences brands including Anatrace, Molecular Dimensions, Agar Scientific, Protein Ark, NeXtal, and BioServ
- Understand customer workflows and provide consultative scientific solutions
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline and accurately track opportunities through CRM systems
- Collaborate with technical specialists, product managers, marketing teams, and supplier partners
- Attend conferences, exhibitions, and customer meetings across the UK territory
- Deliver against sales targets and contribute to overall business growth
What We're Looking For
- Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Protein Sciences, or a related Life Sciences discipline
- Minimum 2 years of experience in scientific sales, account management, or laboratory research
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Ability to work independently in a field-based environment
- Preferred Experience
- Experience selling into academia, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical markets
- Knowledge of Protein Sciences, Structural Biology, Cryo-EM, or Molecular Biology workflows
- Experience using CRM platforms and sales reporting tools
