Registered Manager - Children's Home

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead an Ofsted-regulated children's residential home in London.

The service supports young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and complex needs. We are looking for a confident manager who can provide strong leadership, ensure high standards of care and safeguarding, and support the ongoing development of the home.

An interim appointment may be considered initially , with the potential to progress through the relevant Ofsted registration process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the children's home and staff team.
  • Ensure children receive safe, high-quality and consistent care.
  • Maintain strong safeguarding, risk management and care planning.
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and relevant legislation.
  • Manage and develop the staff team through supervision, training and support.
  • Work effectively with social workers, local authorities and other professionals.
  • Monitor standards, identify areas for improvement and implement action plans.
  • Prepare for and engage with Ofsted inspections.

About You

Essential:

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager in a children's residential setting .
  • Experience working within an Ofsted-regulated environment.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and children's residential care.
  • Experience managing complex needs and challenging behaviours.
  • Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to lead, stabilise and develop a children's home.

Please note: We are only considering candidates who have previously held a Registered Manager position . Deputy Managers without previous Registered Manager experience will not be considered.
