We’re working with a leading Insurance consultancy and technology partner, looking to appoint an experienced Data Architecture & Delivery Lead to drive enterprise-wide data transformation. This is a high-impact role combining data architecture, delivery leadership, stakeholder management, and governance - ideal for someone who enjoys shaping scalable cloud-based data ecosystems while leading complex programmes from strategy through to execution. You’ll play a key role in modernising enterprise data platforms, driving cloud adoption, and delivering large-scale BI, Data Warehouse, and Data Migration programmes across complex regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise data architecture and modernisation initiatives across cloud and on-prem environments
  • Design and govern scalable data pipelines, ETL frameworks, and enterprise data models
  • Drive improvements across Data Warehouse, BI, and Data Migration programmes
  • Lead delivery teams through the full project lifecycle including design, development, testing, and deployment
  • Act as the architecture SME and key stakeholder contact across multiple workstreams
  • Ensure alignment with governance standards, enterprise roadmaps, and delivery methodologies
  • Manage project scope, dependencies, risks, resource planning, and delivery timelines
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors, integration partners, and business stakeholders
  • Oversee data quality, validation, compliance, and control frameworks
  • Support cloud adoption and legacy-to-cloud migration initiatives
  • Develop POCs, reusable frameworks, and strategic data accelerators

Key Requirements

  • Leadership experience in enterprise data architecture and data engineering (essential)
  • Proven experience within London Market P&C insurance technology environments (essential)
  • Hands‑on expertise with Databricks, cloud data platforms, ETL frameworks, and Data Warehousing
  • Strong understanding of data governance, quality, compliance, and architecture standards
  • Experience managing cross-functional delivery teams and multiple stakeholders
  • Strong background in data migration, analytics delivery, and cloud modernisation
  • Exposure to enterprise architecture governance boards and large-scale transformation programmes
  • Experience building reusable delivery frameworks and accelerators
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and modern cloud ecosystems
