Part-Time Business Development Manager for Leading Architecture Practice in Cardiff

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an established, award-winning architectural and design practice in Cardiff in a newly created Business Development Manager role.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of business development across Wales, working closely with senior leadership to identify new opportunities, develop relationships and support the continued growth of the practice.

This is a newly created position with plenty of scope to shape the role and make it your own. You’ll be instrumental in identifying potential clients, researching new markets and developing meaningful connections that translate into future business opportunities.

You’ll have the opportunity to influence the business development approach, contribute ideas and help build a strong pipeline of work.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across Wales.
• Research potential clients, emerging markets and relevant industry trends.
• Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients.
• Monitor market intelligence and identify opportunities for growth.
• Attend relevant conferences, events and networking opportunities.
• Arrange and support client meetings, seminars and engagement events.
• Work collaboratively with the wider marketing team to align business development activity with the practice’s growth strategy.
• Monitor and report on business development activity and opportunities.
• Support client relationship management and follow up on engagement activity.

Key Skills Required

• Prior experience in business development, client engagement, marketing or a related role within the built environment, architecture, engineering or design sectors.
• You should be organised, proactive and commercially minded, with the confidence to engage with new contacts and develop lasting professional relationships.
• Most importantly, you’ll be someone who enjoys taking initiative, spotting opportunities and working collaboratively to achieve results.
