Our client is a well-established and growing maritime organization supporting regional operations across Asia and key global crewing hubs. As the business continues to expand, they are seeking an experienced Regional HR Manager to partner with leadership and support both shore-based teams and operational workforce across multiple jurisdictions. Oversee India, Philippines, China and Malaysia and lead a team of 4-6 HRBP's. This role will play a key part in strengthening HR frameworks, supporting regional workforce planning, and ensuring effective people management across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic HR Partnership: Partner with senior leadership and country management teams to align HR strategies with business and operational objectives across the region.
- Regional Workforce Planning: Support workforce planning initiatives to ensure the organization has the right talent capabilities to support regional growth and operational requirements.
- Talent Management: Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, and retention strategies across regional offices and operational teams.
- Compliance & Employment Regulations: Ensure HR practices comply with complex, multi-jurisdictional labor laws and regulations across the region, including key crewing markets such as India and the Philippines.
- HR Policies & Systems: Develop and implement HR policies, frameworks, and HRIS systems to support consistent HR operations across multiple locations.
- Employee Relations & HR Advisory: Provide HR guidance to leadership and manage employee relations matters while fostering a positive and compliant workplace culture.
- Regional HR Projects: Lead and support HR initiatives including organizational development, compensation reviews, talent programs, and HR transformation projects.
- Change Management: Support organizational changes and cultural initiatives that drive engagement and a high-performance work environment.
Key Qualifications & Skills
- 10 years of progressive HR experience, ideally within multinational or regional organizations.
- Experience managing HR across multiple countries or regions, ideally within operational or asset-heavy industries such as maritime, shipping, logistics, offshore, or industrial sectors.
- Strong exposure to regional workforce planning, talent management, and HR operations.
- Familiarity with employment practices and regulations in India and the Philippines is advantageous.
- Hands-on HR professional with the ability to operate in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and the ability to partner with senior leaders across different cultures.
- Experience implementing HR policies, frameworks, and HR systems across regional teams.
- Analytical mindset with exposure to HRIS systems and HR data.
- Strong communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
