Calian has an exciting opportunity for a Capture Manager to join our corporate team.
Position Overview
The Capture Manager (NATO) will work closely with the Senior Director Business Development (Calian Europe) to provide capture, proposal and bid win support. This position is a remote Europe based position.
Responsibilities
- Support Senior Director Business Development in championing new tenders and the renewal of existing contracts and influencing proposal requirements.
- Work closely with Calian Proposals to develop the Technical Bid and manage the proposal timelines, compliance, and submission requirements.
- Support proposal coordination, writing, development, and submission.
- Identify and coordinate the SME inputs for tenders.
- Review proposals and attend pricing meetings accordingly.
- Support the Bid approvals process.
- Support opportunity specific “Capture Plans” and opportunity “win strategies.”
- Support ownership and control of accounts through a short ramp-up and delivery period until such a time as it is deemed appropriate to formally move delivery management to Operations.
- Work with the Calian Europe Director Operations/Calian recruiting team.
- Identify internal process improvements.
- Support and contribute to Calian Europe, as requested or required.
- Support and contribute to quarterly forecasts and annual budget development.

Qualifications
- You will be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the NATO SECRET level.
- Deep understanding of defence and NATO, and defence requirements and terminology.
- Experience in leading and contributing to proposals and tenders.
- Experience in developing NATO specific tenders.
- Five years of demonstrated success in the development of winning bids.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage own workload.
- Proven experience of successfully managing a number of projects simultaneously.
- A flexible approach to work with demonstrable ability to exercise initiative with minimal supervision.
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent skills and knowledge.
- Strong ability to liaise/engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- Present a professional, positive image that reflects well on the organisation.
