Are you ready to build the future? We're looking for an Apprentice Building Services Design Engineer in London Bridge. Closing date - 18 July 2025.

Are you passionate about buildings, sustainability, and smart solutions? Do you enjoy problem-solving and want to play a vital role in designing the spaces where we live, work, and play? We’re looking for an ambitious, driven and enthusiastic Apprentice Design Engineer to join our team.

What Does a Building Design Services Engineer Do?

As a Building Design Services Engineer, you’ll be the brains behind the systems that bring buildings to life — including heating, lighting, ventilation, power, energy efficiency and water services. Working alongside architects and structural engineers, you’ll help design and deliver safe, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions for everything from schools and hospitals to homes and offices.

You’ll work alongside qualified professionals and get hands-on experience in:

  • Designing mechanical and electrical systems using cutting-edge software
  • Assisting with building performance analysis and energy modelling
  • Attending site visits to see your designs come to life
  • Collaborating on exciting, real-world projects from day one

Alongside this you’ll study for a BSc (Hons) Building Services Engineering Degree and you’ll achieve the Engineering Council’s IEng Chartership status at the end of your studies. We fully fund these qualifications for you!

What We’re Looking For:

We're looking for ambitious, curious, and motivated individuals ready to shape the future of sustainable building design. To be eligible for this apprenticeship, you must:

  • Have achieved (or be predicted to achieve) a minimum of: 3 A Levels (or equivalent) at grade C or above (including Maths and a Science/Technical subject), or A Level 3 Extended Diploma in Engineering or Construction with merit or above
  • Have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades 9–4 (A–C)* including Maths, English and Science
  • Be eligible to live and work in the UK
  • Have a keen interest in engineering, architecture, sustainability or the built environment
  • Have strong communication and problem solving skills
  • Have an awareness of basic building construction and the built environment (or an appetite for learning more)

Sorry, we can’t accept applications from you if you:

  • Have already applied for this position in the last 12 months
  • Have a qualification in the same subject area at a Degree or Masters level
  • Will be in full time education in September 2025
  • You’ve already achieved the skills, knowledge and behaviours required for the Apprentice qualification, whether through education or work experience

We’ll be interviewing for this position in our London office on Wednesday 6 August 2025.

People are at the heart of everything we do, which is why we invest in them at every stage of their career. We are proud to hold the Investors in People Gold award, which we believe demonstrates our commitment to nurturing our people. We provide a range of benefits including hybrid working, the option to buy and sell annual leave, enhanced annual leave for long service, sponsorship for qualifications, a recruitment referral bonus scheme, enhanced family leave policies, an employee assistance programme, and more!
