As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an exceptional Service Excellence Coach to help drive performance, elevate capability, and enhance customer experience across our UK retail partner network. This is a high‑profile, field‑based role suited to a commercially minded automotive professional who is passionate about people development, operational excellence, and delivering measurable business impact.
As part of our Sales & Service Excellence Team, you will work directly with retailer leadership teams, aftersales departments, and front‑line professionals to embed premium brand standards, improve performance, and create exceptional customer journeys. This is far more than a traditional training role. You will act as a trusted performance coach and business partner — influencing behavioural change, strengthening leadership capability, and helping retailers achieve sustainable commercial success. This is a UK field‑based role and will require extensive travel across the retailer network. Flexibility and a willingness to travel, with some overnight stays, are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- You will deliver high‑impact coaching and development interventions across the retailer network, including:
- Coaching aftersales teams to improve service processes, customer experience, operational consistency, and commercial performance
- Supporting underperforming retailers through targeted performance improvement activity
- Analysing KPIs, operational data, and management information to identify root causes and performance opportunities
- Developing leaders and managers to strengthen coaching capability, accountability, and team effectiveness
- Delivering bespoke coaching interventions tailored to individual retailer and business needs
Additional Responsibilities
- You may also be asked to support the wider team and business initiatives, including:
- New and used vehicle sales process and behavioural coaching aligned to premium brand standards
- Electric Vehicle (EV) sales and customer journey coaching to support the transition to electric mobility
- New starter onboarding and induction programmes
- Workshops focused on customer experience, sales excellence, and commercial performance
- Facilitating engaging one‑to‑one and group coaching sessions using Calex UK’s innovative Open Shop learning methodology
- Cross‑functional retailer development projects and performance initiatives

- Strong automotive retail experience, ideally within premium or performance‑focused environments

Salary & Benefits
Up to £47,500 dependant on experience. Company Car, 25 Days Annual Leave, Calex Employee Benefits Packages (Inc Private GP and Healthcare Services, High Street Discounts, Discounted Gym Memberships and on Demand 24 Hour Wellbeing Service (Counselling and Advice), Life Assurance, Pension, optional private Healthcare cover.

Place of Work
Field Based. There will be regular travel required due to the nature of the role, we aim to keep this regional to your location but nationwide travel will be required on occasion, so there will be a requirement for overnight stays.

Calex will undertake the relevant/standard employment checks with any successful candidate. This includes contacting all nominated referees, as well as checking candidate ID, driving licence (if appropriate) and right to work in the UK. Some roles may also be subject to further pre‑employment checks (confirmation will be provided through the recruitment process). The nature of this role may necessitate that we undertake a DBS check.
