Apprenticeship Funding & Compliance Manager
We are currently seeking an experienced Apprenticeship Funding & Compliance Manager to join our team working specifically with the Mercedes-Benz Apprenticeship Programme on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the effective management and oversight of apprenticeship funding and compliance activity, on behalf of Mercedes-Benz ensuring that they meet their responsibilities associated with its apprenticeship funding contract.
The role will work closely with the wider programme teams to ensure apprenticeship records, funding evidence and compliance processes are accurate, timely and audit-ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee apprenticeship funding and compliance activity across the Mercedes-Benz Apprenticeship Programme
- Ensure apprenticeship records and evidence meet current funding rules and contractual requirements
- Monitor learner data, documentation and funding eligibility
- Support the management of apprenticeship starts, changes, breaks in learning and completions
- Carry out regular compliance checks and identify areas requiring corrective action
- Support internal and external funding audits
- Maintain accurate and audit-ready evidence
- Work closely with programme, delivery and administration teams to ensure compliant processes are followed
- Provide advice and guidance to colleagues on apprenticeship funding and compliance requirements
- Monitor changes to apprenticeship funding rules and help implement required changes
- Produce appropriate compliance and funding reports for Mercedes-Benz stakeholders
About You
We are looking for someone with:
- Strong knowledge of UK apprenticeship funding rules and compliance requirements
- Experience working within an apprenticeship or work-based learning environment
- Experience of apprenticeship funding, audit and evidence requirements
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to compliance
- Confidence working with learner data and management information systems
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- The ability to interpret funding guidance and translate it into practical processes
- A collaborative approach and the confidence to challenge where compliance requirements are not being met
Experience working with an employer-provider or organisation holding its own apprenticeship funding contract would be advantageous.

Salary & Benefits:
