Overview
Provide administrative support across different departments within the business.
The role includes handling calls and emails, supporting customer enquiries, maintaining records, organising meetings, and producing documentation using Microsoft Office applications.
Responsibilities
- Answer telephone calls, respond to emails and handle customer enquiries professionally.
- Prepare, organise and maintain accurate business records, documents and filing systems.
- Arrange meetings and appointments; maintain diaries where required.
- Produce letters, reports, spreadsheets and presentations using Microsoft Office applications.
- Update and maintain internal databases and business systems.
- Support the processing of invoices, purchase orders and other business documentation.
- Assist with organising meetings, events and training activities.
- Handle confidential information securely and in accordance with company procedures.
- Deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Follow company policies, procedures and health and safety requirements at all times.
- Attend required apprenticeship training sessions and complete work-based assignments.
- Apprenticeship Details
- Type: Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship
- Duration: 18 months, plus End Point Assessment (EPA)
- Qualification: Nationally recognised Level 3; covers workplace competence, business knowledge, communication, organisation, project support and professional behaviours
- Entry requirements: Aged 16 or over; GCSE (or equivalent) grade 4-9 (A-C) in English and Maths (predicted grades accepted).
- Training: 20% of working time on Off-the-Job (OTJ) learning via online classes, in-person training, and block release at a training centre; block release requires travel and overnight stays away from home.
- Delivery: Face-to-face classroom sessions, virtual classroom sessions and e-learning; workplace coaching and mentoring.
- Employer: Calex UK; training includes week-long block release and is in line with the Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard and ESFA requirements.
- Progression: Provides a pathway into a range of business and administrative roles.
