We are seeking a skilled engineer to join one a leading coach operator, maintaining a modern fleet of luxury coaches that deliver reliable transport services across the UK and Europe.

The Role

As a PSV Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring the company's fleet of modern coaches is maintained to the highest standards of safety, reliability and presentation.

Working within a well-equipped workshop, you'll carry out servicing, inspections, diagnostics and repairs to minimise vehicle downtime and ensure every vehicle leaves the depot in peak operating condition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on coaches.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults.
  • Complete routine safety inspections and preventative maintenance in line with DVSA and manufacturer standards.
  • Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and ensure they remain fully roadworthy.
  • Carry out fault diagnosis using modern diagnostic equipment.
  • Respond to vehicle defects and complete repairs efficiently.
  • Accurately complete job cards and maintenance records.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the workshop.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to maximise vehicle availability.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.

What We're Looking For

  • NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, IMI or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
  • Experience working on PSV, HGV, LGV or other heavy vehicles.
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
  • Good understanding of mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a professional workshop team.
  • A positive attitude and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • A PSV licence is desirable but not essential.
