We are currently working on behalf of a well-established construction new build & refurbishment contractor who is seeking a Mid-Level Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a police station redevelopment project. This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with refurbishment experience to work on a secure, technically interesting public-sector scheme. Our client is open to permanent or freelance professionals, depending on experience and availability.
The Role
- Commercial management of a refurbishment and redevelopment project
- Assisting with cost control, budgeting, and forecasting
- Procurement of subcontractors and management of subcontract accounts
- Valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Working closely with the Project Manager and site team
- Ensuring commercial compliance with contract requirements
The Ideal Candidate
- Mid-level Quantity Surveyor with experience in refurbishment or fit-out projects
- Background with a main contractor or specialist refurb contractor
- Strong understanding of cost reporting and subcontract management
