We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Site Engineer to support quality assurance and technical compliance across multiple live construction sites. This is a roaming position suited to someone who enjoys working across different projects and maintaining high engineering standards throughout the construction process.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out site inspections, checking setting out and boundary positions, reviewing building arrangements against drawings, and ensuring engineering information is correctly prepared and managed across projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular QA inspections across multiple construction sites
  • Verify site boundaries, levels, coordinates, and setting out accuracy
  • Check building arrangements and layouts against approved drawings and specifications
  • Ensure works are being completed in accordance with engineering tolerances and company standards
  • Prepare, organise, and maintain engineering files and site documentation
  • Review and manage drawing revisions and technical information
  • Support site teams with setting out queries and technical guidance
  • Produce QA reports, snagging records, and compliance documentation
  • Liaise with site managers, subcontractors, and design teams to resolve engineering issues
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining quality assurance procedures across projects
  • Monitor and report on non-conformances and corrective actions
  • Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are adhered to during site visits
Requirements
  • Previous experience working as a Site Engineer within construction or civil engineering
  • Strong understanding of QA procedures and setting out principles
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
  • Experience using surveying equipment and engineering software
  • Good organisational and document management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to travel regularly between sites
