Brief Summary
Are you an experienced HGV Technician or PSV Technician looking for your next challenge? We are recruiting skilled engineers to join one of London's leading bus operators working an alternating early late shift pattern for £32 per hour, maintaining modern fleets that keep the capital moving safely and reliably every day.

The Role
As a PSV Technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest standards of safety, reliability and performance. Working alternating early and late shifts you’ll be working within a well‑equipped workshop where you'll carry out scheduled servicing, inspections, diagnostics and repairs to minimise vehicle downtime and maximise fleet availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on buses and coaches.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults.
- Complete safety inspections and preventative maintenance in line with manufacturer and DVSA standards.
- Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and ensure they remain fully roadworthy.
- Respond to breakdowns and carry out repairs efficiently.
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve faults.
- Accurately complete maintenance records and job documentation.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Work collaboratively with the engineering team to achieve fleet availability targets.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Health&Safety policies and company procedures.
What We’re Looking For
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, IMI or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Previous experience working on PSV, HGV, LGV or other heavy vehicles.
- Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding abilities.
- Good understanding of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A proactive attitude with a commitment to delivering high‑quality workmanship.
- PSV licence is advantageous but not essential.
