Type: Full-time, Permanent We are currently recruiting for a Construction Project Administrator to join a busy and growing construction business based in Harlow, Essex.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive administrator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to build a long-term career within the construction industry.

Working closely with the project management and wider operational teams, you will provide essential administrative support to ensure projects run smoothly, efficiently, and to schedule.

  • The Role As a Construction Project Administrator, your responsibilities will include:
  • Providing day-to-day administrative support to the Project Managers and wider construction team.
  • Assisting with the coordination and administration of construction projects from start to completion.
  • Maintaining project files, records, spreadsheets, and documentation.
  • Preparing and distributing project-related paperwork and reports.
  • Updating project schedules, trackers, and databases.
  • Raising purchase orders and assisting with invoice and payment administration.
  • Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, clients, and internal teams.
  • Assisting with the organisation of meetings, site visits, and project-related appointments.
  • Monitoring outstanding actions and ensuring information is followed up promptly.
  • Supporting the preparation of quotations, tenders, and project documentation where required.
  • Ensuring all project documentation is accurate, up to date, and properly filed.
  • Providing general office and administrative support to the project team.

About You We are looking for someone who is highly organised, reliable, and confident communicating with a range of people.

Ideally, you will have

  • Previous experience in an administration, project administration, or coordination role.
  • Experience within construction, engineering, property, facilities, or a similar environment is desirable.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • The ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
  • A professional and positive approach.
  • The confidence to liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and colleagues.

Construction experience is advantageous, but we would also consider candidates with strong administrative or project coordination experience who are keen to develop their career within the construction sector.

What We Offer

  • £28,000 – £30,000 salary, depending on experience.
  • Permanent, full-time position.
  • Monday–Friday working hours.
