Job Type: Façade Designer Location: Hybrid Salary Range: £40k to £50k Role Description To develop, coordinate, and deliver detailed façade design solutions (curtain walling, cladding, glazing, rainscreen, etc.) that meet client, architect, and contractor requirements while ensuring compliance with building regulations, performance standards, and company quality processes. Key Responsibilities • Produce detailed façade drawings, schedules, and specifications using AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant software. • Prepare 2D and 3D models, technical details, and fabrication drawings. • Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure buildable and cost-effective solutions. • Ensure designs comply with UK Building Regulations, CWCT standards, fire performance, acoustic, thermal, and structural requirements. • Assist in material selection, finishes, and interface detailing between façade systems and building structure. • Provide technical support during tender, construction, and installation phases. • Review subcontractor and supplier drawings for compliance and accuracy. • Contribute to design risk assessments and method statements. • Attend design meetings and site visits as required. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of façade systems, innovations, and sustainability practices. Qualifications and Skills • Strong knowledge of façade engineering principles, materials (aluminium, glass, stone, terracotta, composite panels, etc.), and systems • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar design software • Familiar with thermal, structural, and acoustic performance considerations • Understanding of CWCT guidelines and relevant Eurocodes • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders • Experience working in façade design within a contractor, specialist façade subcontractor, or consultancy environment • Knowledge of fabrication and installation processes preferred • Proactive and self-motivated. • Collaborative team player If this role is of interest to you and you want the start, please apply now
