We have a great opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading build company in the Midlands. We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor who has experience on projects that include steel frame builds as this particular business works heavily within industrial construction.
- Produce and present monthly CVR Reports for live projects.
- Maintain and develop the MCS commercial processes and procedures and apply best practice with a continuous improvement approach, to maximise returns in terms of profit.
- Manage, reduce and drive out unnecessary costs and inefficient activities.
- Maximise cash flow through the timely preparation of valuations, submission of invoices and receipt of payment.
- Manage the prompt preparation and settlement of final accounts, including variations, claims and disputes.
- Manage the production of accurate and timely accounts for use in managing the business.
- Manage the production of accurate and timely project financial forecasts for use in setting targets and managing the business.
- Develop a thorough and in-depth understanding of the contractual, commercial, insurance and legal processes relating to the projects to ensure that MCS’s position is protected.
- Ensure verbal and important discussions/agreements are recorded in writing (email).
- You will be involved with pre-start, on-site & completion so you must have experience from day 1 of winning the project.
