Requirements
- Proven experience as an Infrastructure Architect or senior infrastructure design authority
- Deep understanding of enterprise infrastructure including networks, compute, storage and backup
- Strong experience designing hybrid environments, integrating on-prem platforms with Azure
- Confidence acting as a technical assurance lead across projects and suppliers
- Experience producing and presenting HLDs, architecture decisions and design artefacts
- A solid grasp of operational service design, resilience, DR and business continuity
- Experience working in regulated, mission critical or highly visible environments
- Nice to have: Zero Trust, identity led or secure access architectures
- Nice to have: Exposure to container platforms or infrastructure automation (IaC)
- Nice to have: Experience with monitoring, observability and performance tooling
- Nice to have: Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF)
Responsibilities:
- Designs and assures secure, resilient and scalable infrastructure across on-prem, cloud and hybrid environments
- Produces clear, pragmatic high level designs that delivery and operations teams can rely on
- Works closely with managed service providers, challenging and assuring designs and services
- Ensures infrastructure meets availability, performance, security and regulatory requirements
- Supports service design and transition, so new platforms are operable from day one
- Contributes to standards, reference architectures and enterprise wide technical decisions
