We are seeking a customer focused and proactive Retail Assistant to join our team at Troon and Ardrossan Ferry Terminals on a fixed term basis until October 2026. Reporting to the Retail Supervisor, you will play a key role in delivering an excellent customer experience while providing catering and retail services within a fast paced port environment.

  • Deliver a catering and retail service that supports the achievement of customer and business objectives.
  • Adhere to retail operational procedures, including stock policies and merchandise layout plans.
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and housekeeping within the retails and catering areas.
  • Undertake any other duties as directed by the Retail Supervisor.
  • Computer literate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Food Hygiene and Safety for Catering certification (or equivalent recognised qualification).
  • Flexible approach to working, including shift and weekend work.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with other retail staff to ensure a high level of communication and coordination of activities.
  • Food Allergen Awareness certification or knowledge of allergen management within a catering environment.
