Tates Travel, Sunderland's leading independent travel agency, is looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Travel Sales Consultant to join our award-winning team. Based in our newly refurbished Park Lane travel centre, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful, growing business with excellent career progression and flexible working options. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with flexible working options to support a healthy work–life balance. This includes the potential for home working, as well as evening and Sunday shifts where required.
What you’ll be doing:
- Delivering outstanding customer service at every stage of the customer journey
- Selling a wide range of holidays and travel products face-to-face, over the phone and via social media
- Building and maintaining strong, long-term customer relationships
- Achieving daily, weekly and monthly sales targets as part of a high-performing team
- Using your destination knowledge and product expertise to create tailored holiday experiences
- Promoting offers, generating leads and increasing engagement through social media
- Managing bookings from initial enquiry through to customers' return home
What we’re looking for:
- A genuine passion for travel and exceptional customer service
- At least 1 year’s experience as a Travel Consultant
- Strong sales skills with excellent communication ability
- A positive, motivated and proactive team player
- Confidence using social media to promote offers and drive engagement
- Extensive destination knowledge and the ability to create and sell bespoke holidays
