We have an exciting opportunity at Caledonian Braves FC for a First Team Physiotherapist / Graduate Sports Therapist to join our ambitious Lowland League first team on a part-time, permanent basis. You will play a key role in keeping our players fit, available and performing at their best throughout the season. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and First Team Manager, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based Physiotherapy / Sports Therapy support across training and match days, typically on Tuesday and Thursday evenings (19:00–22:00) and Saturday afternoons (14:00–17:30). The salary for this role is £800–£1,200 per calendar month, depending on experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Assess and treat player injuries, providing immediate and ongoing pitch-side care.
- Design and deliver individualised rehabilitation programmes with clear return-to-play goals.
- Lead on injury-prevention strategies and educate players on warm-up, conditioning and lifestyle habits.
- Maintain accurate medical records and communicate clearly with coaches and staff about player status and availability.
- Provide calm and effective emergency care during training sessions and matches.
Essential:
- BSc or MSc (Pre-registration) Physiotherapy, or BSc Sports Rehabilitation / Sports Therapy.
- Member of a relevant National Governing Body and HCPC registered (or equivalent).
- At least two years’ experience in a football environment, with a track record of returning athletes safely to competition.
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary performance environment and strong clinical reasoning skills.
- Relevant pitch-side Sports First Aid (Scottish FA approved provider), up-to-date CPD record, and good IT / presentation skills.
Desirable:
- MSc (or working towards) in Sports Physiotherapy or a related field.
- Experience working with elite and adolescent athletes, and UK Anti-Doping qualifications.
- Advanced pitch-side trauma qualification (Sport Promote or equivalent).
