Role Description This contract, hybrid Salesperson role is based in East Kilbride with the flexibility to work from home for some tasks. The Salesperson will be responsible for engaging prospective learners and employers, explaining training offerings, and matching customer needs to appropriate courses and services. Day-to-day activities include responding to inquiries, conducting follow-up calls and emails, maintaining accurate records in the CRM system, and supporting the enrolment process. The role also involves building long-term relationships with corporate clients, attending on-site meetings and events at the training centre, and providing feedback to the team to help refine sales approaches and marketing messages. The Salesperson will collaborate closely with training and administrative staff to ensure a positive, professional experience for all customers.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of learners and employers.
- Proven experience in sales, customer service, or business development, preferably within education, training, or related industries.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid arrangement, managing time between on-site activities in East Kilbride and remote work.
- Competence in using CRM systems, email, and basic office software (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing) to track leads and manage data.
- Solid organisational and follow-up skills, including managing pipelines, prioritising tasks, and meeting sales or enrolment targets.
- Knowledge of or interest in plumbing, heating, renewables, or vocational training sectors is highly beneficial.
- Comfortable presenting information about courses and qualifications in a clear, accessible, and non-discriminatory manner.
- Ability to work collaboratively with training centre staff and demonstrate a customer-focused, ethical approach to sales.
- Relevant qualification or training in sales, business, or a related field is an advantage but not essential.
