The focus of the Governance team is on ensuring the organisation is effectively and responsibly governed, and complies with key legal and regulatory requirements. We provide a corporate support function, but the needs of tenants and service users remain firmly at the heart of everything we do.

About the roleThe post holder will have a broad and varied remit, and play a vital role in supporting our corporate governance, compliance and assurance activities, as well as some key strategic initiatives. They will engage and develop effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels across the organisation, including the Executive and Operational Management Teams and our Governing Bodies.
The ideal candidate will have well-developed analytical and reasoning skills, and a proven ability to interpret legal and regulatory requirements and apply these to real-life situations. A keen interest in information management, and sound knowledge of data protection and freedom of information requirements would be an advantage. They will support our compliance activities in both of these areas and provide a source of advice and guidance to all colleagues.
They will also contribute towards the establishment of our Environmental, Social and Governance reporting framework that extends across all areas of our work. The post holder will be tasked with responding to information requests and investigating complaints, maintaining appropriate records and liaising with customers and other stakeholders. In doing so, they will ideally be able to draw on previous experience of undertaking casework in a customer-focused sector, and handling complex and sensitive information.
