Position Type: Seasonal Full-Time, 35 hours per week for 8 weeks (daytime hours Monday‑Friday)

Responsibilities

  • Builds and maintains effective communication with community groups and partner organizations to increase awareness of Caledon Community Services (CCS) programs, services, and events.
  • Develop and oversee the organization’s social media content calendar; execute posts in real time across all platforms and update external digital calendars and event listings.
  • Generate and share creative content ideas that drive awareness, increase traffic, boost engagement, and spark conversation about CCS initiatives.
  • Support the enhancement of CCS’s digital presence through search engine marketing (SEM) and search engine optimization (SEO), including keyword research, ad campaign coordination, and performance analysis.
  • Provide general administrative support to ensure smooth program operations.
  • Represent CCS at community events, public meetings, expos, and festivals, serving as an ambassador for the organization.
  • Organize and update digital files in alignment with established naming protocols and information management standards.
  • Assist with special projects and perform additional tasks as needed to support program objectives.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Post‑secondary field of study in Business, Communications & Marketing, Information Management or related field, or equivalent digital certifications and knowledge.
  • Strong background in social media and community moderation or customer service experience, digital and social.
  • Energetic, curious, innovative, results‑oriented, organized and excellent project management.
  • Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and be self‑motivated.
  • Computer proficiency in applications such as Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize, organize, and manage tasks and time effectively.
  • Technical knowledge of available tools and platforms in a computer operating environment is an asset.
  • Experience in the not‑for‑profit sector and volunteer experience are assets.
  • Practical knowledge of video production and editing is an asset.
  • Knowledge, understanding, and experience working with diverse and multicultural markets are assets.
  • Knowledge of Information Management is an asset.
  • Police records check will be required.
