The Finance Director reports directly to the Regional CFO Europe based in the Netherlands, works closely with the Managing Director and is part of the local management team. The role leads the finance and accounting function, provides strategic partnership to the business, and drives financial performance and planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Finance and Accounting function to optimize the company’s financial performance and strategic position.
- Form close working relationships with the Managing Director, senior managers, regional CFO, and the global finance organization.
- Represent the company in negotiations with key customers and suppliers concerning financial terms, contracts, claims, and disputes.
- Build local leadership presence and develop internal relationships with the central finance team in the European and global HQ.
- Monitor and fully control the financial and liquidity position, managing cash flow, income and expenditure.
- Identify and manage risk across the business.
- Understand stakeholder information requirements and provide timely, accurate reporting.
Experience & Qualifications
- Managing a finance organisation in a dynamic environment, preferably in a PE setting.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Minimum 7 years’ post‑qualification experience, ideally in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Experience with external banking, insurance, and audit relationships.
- Experience with international financial reporting and tax planning.
