We have a fantastic opportunity for an Installation Supervisor to join our dedicated installation team. Based in Ellesmere Port, this role involves leading and supporting installation projects across the UK and occasionally Europe. You’ll play a key part in ensuring projects are delivered safely on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Independently prepare and manage installation services
- Supervise and execute refractory lining projects (teams of 1–30 per shift)
- Plan, schedule, and allocate manpower, tools, and materials
- Record hours, allowances, and subcontractor data accurately
- Carry out service calls for repairs and fault analysis
- Support commissioning activities and provide technical guidance on dry outs
- Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and company safety standards
- Act as the main point of contact for clients onsite
- Collaborate with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Maintain project documentation, including QA/QC reports
- Mentor and guide staff to encourage continuous improvement
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the refractory industry
- Forklift licence
- Willingness to travel across the UK and Europe
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience in refractory installation, maintenance, and supervision (steel, cement, glass, aluminium & petrochemical industries)
- Knowledge of furnace construction
- Proficiency in MS Office, and CAD (ability to read drawings)
- IOSH Safety training (or equivalent)
