At Calders & Grandidge, we’re looking for a Process / Plant Operator – Timber Treatment Facility to join our production team, helping to deliver high-quality treated timber products to our customers. This role is full-time, based at our Boston site, operating on a rotating 3-shift basis. This is a safety‑critical operational role within a specialist timber treatment (creosote) facility.
We are looking for someone with experience operating industrial plant or process equipment in a regulated or safety‑critical environment.

As a Plant Operator, you will play a key role in ensuring our timber treatment operations run safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will work as part of a shift team, taking responsibility for the safe and effective operation of the plant during your shift. This dynamic role responsibilities will include:
- Operating and maintaining the timber treatment plant in line with safety and quality requirements.
- Carrying out routine safety, maintenance, and plant performance checks.
- Identifying and responding to operational issues, supporting optimisation and working collaboratively with colleagues and contractors to drive continuous improvement.
- Upholding housekeeping and high standards of workplace organisation.
